About Jessica
I have a BA in English Literature from Lancaster University and am studying a part-time MA with the Open University, living in Edinburgh. I've got classroom and tutoring experience through TAing and reading class programs.

English can be a hard subject to learn in school, as a lot of texts studied aren't enjoyed by their students. I believe there's always a connection to a text that you'll enjoy, so I encourage students to bring their interests to the table, and then I can help translate those interests into more academic concepts. I also emphasise the importance of relevant academic vocabulary, but I promise I make things feel fun!
