About Heidi
Having gained experience tutoring children and schoolmates as a student initiative and also from a place of genuine interest, I now wish to take my passion for education more seriously and help spread knowledge further. A general misconception is that only those to whom linguistics come naturally can excel in the subject, and those who do not will never excel. However, I completely refute that with my own experience. I am a student at ACG Parnell College; with time and drive, I have risen from a C student to an A* student in English Literature. As cliché as it may be, I believe that talent can only carry one so far; it is only with hard work and genuine drive that one can truly excel. Education is something I want to work at for a large part of my future, and language has always been a fundamental part of my life - in fact, I believe it should be a part of anyone’s life. I take great care and compassion in teaching, only time and the student’s own initiative can demonstrate the knowledge I help ingrain in students.

I am able to take a hands-on experienced approach to guiding learning - as I am still a student myself. Scoring consistently high scores in English Literature, I am capable of helping develop exam techniques, text analysis, and long-term learning skills catered to the individual student’s progress. For younger students, I help build a solid foundation for future learning in English, as well as creating a long-term passion for the subject that will carry them into more depth later in life.
