About Eleanor
I have degrees in English Literature from Trinity College Dublin, UC Berkeley and Brown University. I've taught English Literature and academic writing at the college level since 2016, and have extensive experience stretching well beyond this as a private tutor. I've also written and published extensively in critical theory and on academic writing and research techniques.
I have a thorough record of success achieving the goals I set with students of all levels, and can provide references to demonstrate this.

I take a student-focused approach to learning, in which I meet with pupils to determine what they're looking for, learn personal objectives they might have for their writing and outline any milestones they're attempting to hit. I usually ask for a writing sample early in the process so I can better determine students' strengths and their needs.
I've taught English Literature, film studies, critical theory and academic writing at the high school and college level for eight years. I also have extensive experience as a private tutor. I have a proven record of success, and see my intensive commitment to the specifics of each student's development as being central to that.
