About Maria
I am a policy analyst living in London. I have over 200 hours of experience working with kids and teens, leading educational workshops and teaching English as a foreign/second language. I completed my International Baccalaureate in Greece, where I studied English A Language & Literature at a Higher Level. I then moved to the UK where I completed both my Bachelors and Masters degrees with excellence. I studied Politics, Public Policy and Migration Studies.

For me, learning and teaching languages is a great pleasure. I grew up believing that languages open doors for both professional growth and personal development. Entering the professional world, I have found that to be more true than ever and am very grateful for the opportunities I have had to learn different languages. I would like to provide others with similar opportunities and share my knowledge and experience with students of any age and background.
At the same time, I know that in order to learn a language, a student must have the desire to do so. For this reason, in addition to the traditional grammar and vocabulary lessons, I do my best to include more real-life, cultural and social aspects of the language. In this sense, I make my lessons as fun as possible while packing them with as many real-life & relatable examples. I am patient and enjoy working with kids, beginners and advanced English speakers looking to do better in exams, essay writing or just conversational English.
