This class is geared for freshman college students taking English 110: College Writing 1 and Intensive Writing 2. I can also assist middle schoolers and high schoolers with homework and projects for their English classes. I love helping students develop writing skills and refine essays for class. I can help you create a strong essay from any part of the writing process.
1. Discussion on what a strong thesis looks like through essay samples from students who did well.
2. How to interpret essay topics and choose what uniquely fits best for each student.
3. Thesis research: How to conduct proper research to strength thesis and which websites to use for resources. Understanding the difference between credited and uncredited resources.
4. Coming up with the research questions that relate to the topic chosen.
5. Essay structure: Heading/Tittle, Introduction, body paragraphs, counterclaim paragraph, and conclusion.
6. MLA Works Cited Page: Basic Formula.
