About Maryam

I am a 4th year Medical student at Oxford University and I have previously obtained a BA in Medical Sciences, at the end of my 3rd year. I love teaching and have previous experience tutoring students. As a person, I'm very easy-going and friendly, so I hope that my students would feel at ease and comfortable in my lessons.

About the lesson

I am versatile and adapt my teaching style to suit the specific needs of an individual student. As a tutor I focus heavily on the syllabus and work methodically through it. This ensures my student is ready for all areas of their exam. Prior to beginning our lessons, I would like to set a short introductory test as this will be a good indicator of their current level. Using this, my student and I can set targets for their development and goals. At the end of each topic, I set my own 'topic test' for my student, to assess how well they have understood the topic, and if any further support is required before we move on.
