About Kate
Hi, I'm Kate! I am in my final year of my Bachelor of Art degree in English at Rider University in NJ in addition to a Bachelor of Art in Musical Theatre and an Honors Certificate. I am also in the process of completing my Graduate Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages through the University of California, San Diego. The last two years I have been awarded the Andrew J. Rider Scholar Award, which designates me as the top 1% of my college. This past semester, I was also granted the Undergraduate Research Scholarship Award at my university to write a comprehensive psychoanalytic essay about Edgar Allan Poe.
I am currently a writing tutor in the Academic Success Center at my university and I love to help people with their writing! I also focus on study skills and reading comprehension. I think that education is one of the most important aspects of shaping a person and I am passionate about helping people find their love for learning. I am planning on continuing my own education to get a PhD in English Literature so I can become a professor and reshape how university composition classes work.
