About Jenelle
I have been a teacher’s assistant since 2008, tutoring kids that need a little extra one on one time that most teachers in a standard classroom do not have time to offer. Let me be clear, this is not more school for your child. I prefer to implement a familiar, relaxing setting that will focus on reading materials that your child would choose to read. Special needs parents: my son has been diagnosed ADD and I can relate to your child personally and the unique challenges he or she faces.

My teaching method is based on relieving a child's anxiety, making him or her feel comfortable with me. I’m more of a friend that they turned to for help not a formal teacher. My goal is to get a sample of how they read to themselves. Once you can hear a child read without fear and pressures they may be experiencing in the classroom setting, identifying and addressing their individual struggles with reading can be achieved. If you have more than one child or siblings yourself, you know everyone is different even with shared DNA. With that in mind then it would not be logical to think that one style of learning will accommodate up to 35 children (just as it’s not logical to think one teacher has the time or ability to create an individualized teaching style for those 35 children based on how they learn). That’s why a tutor can be one of the strongest investments you make for your child. Even if you don’t choose me, please choose one of the tutors here at Superprof to help your child succeed. Details
Rates are a flat fee @ $23.00 per hour no matter the age and/or skill level of the student (add $5.00 for travel if tutoring is requested in Student's Home.) Cancellation Policy: NO CHARGE if cancellation is made at a maximum 24 hours in advance. Same Day Cancellations will be charged a flat fee @ $20.00 no matter the length of that day's lesson. No Exceptions.
