About Ethan
With 10 years of experience teaching saxophone to college students, I focus on building both musical skill and self-confidence. My teaching style is flexible, patient, and practical. I believe students learn best when lessons are engaging and connected to real music.

My teaching methodology for Saxophone is designed to develop confident, disciplined, and creative musicians. I focus on building a strong foundation by teaching correct breathing techniques, embouchure formation, posture, finger coordination, tone quality, and rhythm accuracy. These skills are introduced gradually with clear explanations and practical exercises.
Creativity is an essential part of my lessons. Students are encouraged to explore different sounds, learn popular melodies, and practice improvisation to develop musical expression. As a mentor, I guide students with care and patience, helping them overcome challenges and stay motivated throughout their learning journey.
Critical thinking is developed by teaching students to listen carefully, understand mistakes, and apply solutions effectively. Accountability is maintained through structured practice routines, regular feedback, and progress evaluations. In addition to Saxophone lessons, I also teach related subjects such as Music Theory, Ear Training, Rhythm Practice, and Basic Improvisation to help students become complete musicians.
