About Alir
As a passionate trumpet tutor, I strive to create lessons that combine technical excellence with creativity, confidence, and genuine enjoyment. Every student brings unique strengths, interests, and learning preferences, and I believe these differences should be reflected in the way lessons are taught. Rather than following a fixed teaching formula, I personalize every session to help students achieve their individual goals while maintaining steady progress.
Lessons begin with strong technical foundations including breathing techniques, posture, embouchure formation, articulation, rhythm, scales, note reading, tone quality, and finger coordination before progressing to more advanced skills such as endurance building, flexibility exercises, lip slurs, range expansion, expressive phrasing, dynamics, sight reading, ear training, orchestral repertoire, jazz improvisation, solo literature, advanced articulation, and performance techniques.
I also place significant emphasis on music theory, listening skills, efficient practice methods, stage confidence, and musical interpretation because I believe these areas contribute to becoming a complete musician. My lessons encourage students to think independently, solve technical challenges confidently, and develop consistent practice habits that produce lasting improvement.
I aim to create a supportive and motivating atmosphere where students feel inspired to learn, challenge themselves, and celebrate every milestone while building skills that will serve them throughout their musical lives.

My teaching approach focuses on making trumpet lessons enjoyable, productive, and inspiring for every student. Lessons begin by establishing excellent fundamentals including posture, breathing, embouchure development, articulation, rhythm, finger coordination, note reading, and tone quality.
As students gain confidence, they learn scales, flexibility exercises, endurance building, range development, phrasing, dynamics, sight reading, and expressive performance techniques. Advanced instruction includes orchestral excerpts, jazz styles, improvisation, solo performance, ensemble playing, music theory, ear training, and recital preparation.
Each lesson is supported with personalized feedback, structured practice assignments, and practical demonstrations that help students overcome challenges and achieve consistent improvement while developing a lifelong appreciation for music.
