About Bonnie
I have tutored students for over 3 years now in Algebra I and II, Precalculus, College Algebra, and high school and college level Biology. I earned my Associate's Degree from Eastern Florida State College in my senior year of high school. I am now a junior student at the University of Central Florida for Evolutionary Biology.

I am skilled in tutoring students anywhere from 1st grade to the college level. I love inspiring kids to learn, so I often start a tutoring session by introducing my clients to why they want to learn what we are talking about. I will ask them relevant information about what they already know about the subject, and I will pick up where they start to feel less confident. My lesson plans often include handouts, worksheets, or pictures as a way to visualize the material. What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to get down to the child's level. I cannot expect them to meet me at my level of understanding, but instead will put myself in their shoes. I see it as I am also learning the material for the first time again, and I can more easily fill in common gaps they may be experiencing. I work hard to keep them engaged by asking questions and by showing them really cool examples and paradoxes regarding our coursework. I especially love to inspire and teach elementary school students because I have two younger siblings so it reminds me of sitting at the kitchen table with them and helping them with their homework. However, I can tutor anywhere from elementary school to the college level.
