About Emily
Hi! I'm eighteen years old and I would absolutely love the opportunity to tutor you or your child/children. I have four siblings and am very used to working with kids of all ages. I've completed high school and college math credits and can teach either Algebra 1 or Algebra 2. I also have completed Introduction to Literary Analysis, British Literature, American Literature, and college English credits. I have had the opportunity to share/publish an interview with Brown University. My main focus would be to help the student find confidence in themselves through learning because I truly believe that the learning process plays a huge role in character. My rate would be starting at $15 an hour and I am flexible with the rate of pay!

My teaching methods are not black and white but instead, each lesson and concept is taught based on the student's individualized needs. I want to inspire confidence in each student to become the best they can be. I spend time reviewing concepts with additional practice in any area the student struggles in as well as slowly introducing new concepts to build upon the foundation of the subject. I want the student to feel comfortable and proud of themselves for the hard work they're putting in and will encourage them in this. I care about each child as a student and as an individual with interests that I would love to try to work into their specific learning needs. I understand that there can be challenges with payments, transportation and location of teaching so I am more than happy to travel to you or teach virtually as well as be flexible with my rate of pay. Each child deserves to excel in every way possible, despite other circumstances.
