About Rosey
I'm Rosey, an educational specialist with 18+ years of experience helping students develop the executive function skills, emotional regulation, and behavioral strategies they need to succeed—in school and in life.
My Background:
I've spent nearly two decades working directly with students in educational settings, specializing in supporting those who struggle with organization, focus, emotional regulation, and behavior management. Currently serving as a Student Wellness Coordinator, I've worked with hundreds of students navigating ADHD, anxiety, trauma, behavioral challenges, and learning differences.

Unlike traditional academic tutoring, I focus on the underlying skills that make academic success possible: organization, time management, planning, emotional regulation, impulse control, and goal achievement.
Who I Work With:
I specialize in middle school, high school, and young adult students (ages 11-22) who:
Struggle with executive function (organization, time management, task completion)
Have ADHD or executive function challenges
Experience emotional regulation difficulties or impulsivity
Need accountability and structure to stay on track
Have behavior goals from IEPs or 504 plans
Feel stuck in patterns they want to change
Have been told they're "smart but not reaching their potential"
Need more than just academic help—they need skill-building
My Approach:
I use trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles. I don't just help students complete today's assignment—I teach them systems and strategies they can use independently.
Every session is tailored to the student's unique challenges and goals. We work on:
Building organizational systems that actually work for THEM
Developing time management and planning strategies
Breaking down large tasks into manageable steps
Understanding and managing emotions and impulses
Creating accountability structures and routines
Building confidence and self-advocacy skills
What Makes My Approach Different:
I understand that behavior is communication. When students struggle with organization or "getting things done," there's usually a reason—executive function challenges, anxiety, past academic trauma, lack of systems, or simply never having been taught HOW.
I meet students where they are, without judgment. We figure out what's getting in the way and build practical skills to overcome it. No shame, no lectures—just real strategies that work.
My Experience Includes:
✓ 18+ years as educational paraprofessional in high school settings
✓ Co- Developed and implemented hundreds of individualized behavior plans
✓ Trained staff on behavioral intervention and support strategies
✓ Current Student Wellness Coordinator creating and leading skill-building programs
✓ Curriculum developer (created multiple project-based courses) ELA Electives
✓ Advanced training in CBT, REBT, and trauma-informed practices
✓ Crisis intervention and de-escalation expertise
✓ Supporting students with diverse needs including ADHD, autism, anxiety, trauma
What Students Gain:
Students I work with typically develop:
Better organization and time management
Improved task initiation and completion
Stronger emotional regulation and impulse control
Effective study strategies and routines
Greater confidence and self-advocacy
Practical systems they can use independently
Academic success AND life skills
In addition to executive function support, I also tutor English, reading, and writing for middle and high school students. With my background developing and teaching ELA curriculum (including credit-bearing courses in literary analysis and writing), I help students with:
Reading comprehension and active reading strategies
Essay writing (argumentative, analytical, narrative)
Literary analysis and close reading
Grammar and mechanics
Writing process (brainstorming, drafting, revising, editing)
Test preparation for English/Reading assessments
Supporting students with current English class assignments
I'm especially effective with students who struggle with reading comprehension, organizing their thoughts in writing, or who have been told they're 'not good at English.' Often, these students just need different strategies and someone who can break down complex skills into manageable steps."
