About Chris

As a dedicated primary teacher with over 15 years experience, my greatest passion is unlocking a child’s potential. I am a confident, supportive, and energetic tutor who believes that every student can excel in maths with the right guidance.

For me, nothing beats the "lightbulb moment"—that magical second when a challenging concept suddenly clicks, and a child's face lights up with pride. I pride myself on creating a caring, pressure-free environment where mistakes are celebrated as steps towards mastery. By tailoring every lesson to your child's unique interests, I transform maths from a daunting chore into an exciting adventure they genuinely look forward to.

About the lesson

I am an experienced primary school teacher, with over 15 years classroom and tutoring experience, who tutors 7-11 year olds. I specialise in making mathematics accessible, engaging, and fun. With a deep understanding of the National Curriculum, I help students master everything from fundamental number bonds to complex SATs preparation.

My approach focuses on building "maths confidence" through the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) method, ensuring children don’t just memorise rules but truly understand concepts. Whether your child needs to close learning gaps or seeks an extra challenge, I provide tailored, interactive lessons that turn "I can't" into "I can!"

Book a session via my Superprof Profile to start your child's journey towards mathematical mastery.
