About Lily-Rose
I am a passionate and engaged tutor with a personal love of learning that has been with me throughout every stage of my life. Currently studying English Literature and Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh, I too am a student and work to combine highly creative and logical thinking at the degree level. Whether it is a complex problem that needs breaking into manageable steps, or writing an idea that you can't quite get onto paper in the right way, I can provide the tools and resources to help you ace your exams whilst growing in confidence. Providing clear, tailored support to each student I teach and helping them build towards their academic goals is my key aim.
I achieved four A*s at A Level and all 9s at GCSE including 100% in all GCSE and A Level English coursework. As a tutor, I embed each lesson with the tips and study methods I used to achieve top grades; providing key steps and structure for independent revision in a clear and manageable way.
I am also a SEN accredited tutor; experienced in tutoring autistic students, students with ADHD, dyslexia and additional learning needs. I have additionally completed NHS accredited Level 1 and 2 training in Safeguarding Children.

I tailor each lesson to the student's specific needs, creating a structured monthly plan to track and maintain progress. I combine each lesson with active recall, digestion of key concepts and exam application. I regularly assess my student's progress and take time to understand their specific strengths and challenges. I am fundamentally student led in my approach to tutoring.
I have a strong track record, helping students to boost their GCSE attainment by over 3 grades and an 100% success rate in students gaining entry at their first choice independent school at the 11+ and 13+ level.
