About Billy
My name is Billy, I am 22 years old and from Altrincham/Hale. I have been playing the Piano since the age of 7 and training classically under the same tutor since the age of 10. Since then I have acquired my Grade 8 in Classical Piano and Grade 5 in Jazz Piano through the ABRSM national examination board, having also achieved my Grade 5 in Music Theory. Most recently I have acquired qualifications in Music Production, Audio Engineering and Music Business at the School of Electronic Music in Salford.
I have been a lover of music since I can remember. I come from a long line of professional musicians that specialise in a wide variety of genres, from Latin American to Electronic, Contemporary/Experimental to Jazz and Funk. Being surrounded by such individuals while growing up has had a massive impact on my endless intrigue with how music is written and created. Since then I have practiced on various instruments including Guitar, Bass, Drums, Percussion, and Piano.
Throughout my childhood/adolescence the one thing that has persisted and maintained no matter what is my interest in the piano. I would seriously encourage anyone who has a love of music to give it a try!

I have been studying the Piano under the same tutor for over a decade, and this has enabled me to realise the true importance of the student/teacher relationship. For me, getting to know the individual and learning about their key interests, not just with regards to the piano but with music as a whole, where they want to be and who they want to become is of crucial importance to me. From day one I will endeavour to connect with the student and assess their needs to enable them to become the best they possibly can be.
