About Claire
A passionate English Language and English Literature Teacher who has extensive experience as a teacher of years 7-9 as well as GCSE and A Level.
I use carefully selected tasks to help my students to progress and go forward. Additionally, I have worked as an examiner for GCSE English Language. I am familiar with AQA, Edexcel and Cambridge Examination Boards.

Every student is an individual, therefore I choose specific tasks tailored to the individual that will move that student forward.
A typical lesson would be one hour in length, but this can be adjusted to suit the needs of the individual.
I am an English specialist who currently works in a high school as a tutor doing intervention for KS3 and KS4. However, I have worked as an English teacher in a variety of schools as well as led A Level Literature within an English department.
