My teaching method is to make you relax and see that you are doing well! I am incredibly positive and know that it's difficult to learn something new and you are amazing for pushing what you know and getting a little extra boost. I am great at adapting lessons to your needs as well as responding to what you would like to do and creating resources to suit (which I always email!).
I have a bachelors degree in English language, Masters in English Language and linguistics and PhD in Linguistics and English Language. I have taught secondary school students English language for 10 years, then I taught the use of English and introduction to phonetics and phonology to undergraduate university students.
I am a student of Master's in Creative Writing at Northumbria University with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from India. I give lessons in English, grammar, reading, writing and Literature. My lesson structure is generally simple and precise with instructions about grammar and writing techniques.
I tailor each lesson I give to each individual. I recognise that everyone learns differently and would spend at least one lesson getting to know how you learn. That being said I like to encourage discussion and questions within my lessons.
I explore each individual students strengths and weaknesses in my field of study and learn which method best supports their learning needs. I frequently do tests to see how far the student is coming along and focus on areas where they need improvement.
My name's Will and I've been studying English Literature exclusively for the last three years at University. I'm able to tutor any student at any stage, and hope to foster a love of reading - it's a simple truth, but the more we read, the better our skills at analysing become. My lesson structure will vary depending on who I am tutoring, but there'll be a good deal of discussion.
I treat each child as an individual. I tailor the teaching to their level of concentration and their interests. I believe in learning facts and skills and use repetition to build skills over time, introducing new content at the child's pace.
I believe that every individual has a different way of learning and it is important to orientate my teaching style around the needs of the individual. When teaching poetry, for instance, a visual learner will learn through the imagery projected within the writing whereas an aural learner will learn more through the examination of metre and pentameter as well as the rhythm of the linguistics.
The best approach to teaching is establishing clear communication between myself and the student in a relaxed atmosphere where there is no such thing as a stupid question. Repetition is the key to learning what I offer and I will be here to guide you every step of the way until you've mastered the skills you need.
My aim is always to work with students strengths and so when I begin working with an individual or a group I spend the first session (or couple of sessions, if necessary) looking at previous work or carrying out a few games and simple exercises to establish an understanding of what the student CAN do and their individual style of learning.
I would like to teach young people about English Language and how it works in the world around us. I would be best teaching at a GCSE level or below however I am in my second year at A level so I am not restricted in this field.
I teach English and I give lessons to primary school kids who are struggling with English, especially the ones who are struggling with pronunciation and perhaps reading as well. The way how I would teach is that I would go through each step one by one and make sure that the student understands what to do. As a tutor, I will try and help the student as much as I can and support them all the way.
I am very innovative in my teaching delivery I differentiate I intervene to meet the diverse needs of learners to help meet there expectations. I use the smart board, whiteboard to deliver my Functional Skills City & Guilds, QCF Lessons.
How the sessions will work: - First of course we need to establish what needs done: whether that's actual understanding of content, polishing essay skills, understanding how your course works, or drilling down on concrete revision methodology thats going to work for YOU. - It's all about them: figuring out how they learn and their exact problem areas.
My teaching method is basically based around the type of person that needs to be taught. Classes would revolve around areas that the pupil would be struggling with; basically catering to the pupils needs.
Interactive, engaging, interesting with clear goals. I give support through feedback and follow up activities when desired.
Personally, it took me years to find what method worked for me so I like to test different methods such as more active ones or plain and simple copying it out.
I am an enthusiastic student myself and I usually tutor both young children and teenagers getting ready to sit their GCSE exams.
I teach GCSE students how to pass, and achieve the grade they want particularly in English. I work alongside the syllabus and exam mark schemes to prove to students that they are good enough. I will provide hour long sessions to make sure students pass.
I am an undergraduate English Language and Linguistics student with experience in teaching classes and small groups of students through relaxed but focused methods of teaching. As someone who needed tutoring, I understand the needs of an individual student and know that lessons need to be interesting for a student to learn.
I hold a degree in Psychology and I am currently in the process of paying for my Post Graduate Diploma in Multidisciplinary Design Innovation. I am happy to teach anyone up until A2 level.
I'll make lessons fun and interactive but also will focus on how one can commit information to memory. My lessons are suitable to anyone aged 18 and under, including younger children where I am confident to teach a much broader range to.
I give lessons to anyone aged 11 or over; in particular, I work well with people who are struggling, as I have a patient, friendly nature and love to help students make progress. I like to work with students to identify areas of development and create resources to help scaffold the student and rapidly encourage progress.
I assess each student individually, depending on ability. I teach through encouragement, patience and a willingness to further students' understanding.
I strongly believe that academic excellence begins with a genuine interest in the subject you are learning about. Students can exceed in English Literature by immersing themselves in the texts they are studying: breaking them down, devoting attention to "surface level" readings & being able to articulate what they mean when they say a text has "meaning".
I can tailor your lessons to your learning style and help you meet your school targets, while making your lessons fun. We can work on basic skills to achieve small goals that will help you reach your potential. Learn, laugh, live your life.
I have experience working in primary schools for twenty years. I look for the positives in learning and challenge my students with help, support and fairness. I am able to support creative writing as I am an aspiring writer in spare time. I can support, help with your work, teach the fundamentals that will make your work stand out.
I am a postgraduate of English Literature and History, graduating with a 2:1 in 2015, keen to provide personalised and enthusiastic teaching through a range of methods incorporating passion and fun. I have previous experience of a 6 week placement in a special needs school, plus tutoring struggling students through their GCSE's and A-Levels to achieve the results they want and deserve.
My teaching level is from GCSE to A-Level standards. I teach lessons in blocks and focus on what the individual needs more support with as well as regular recaps on covered topics. I make lessons fun and useful and aim to achieve the indivdual's goal.
I like instilling confidence and fun into my lessons and students and I find this is a great basis for my students to succeed and get to the level they need to be
