About Miranda
I have two years of experience as an online tutor. I also teach English at a public secondary school, so I'm very familiar with common writing techniques and grammar practices.
I graduated from East Texas A&M University with an English Education bachelor's degree and have many years of experience writing a wide range of essays and short prompts. I also have experience with more modern writing formats, such as blogs and social media posts.

Hi! I teach all age ranges looking to improve their writing skills. From fixing simple grammar mistakes to writing an essay from scratch, I've got you covered.
And let's be honest: writing is tough. There are multiple processes involved, and each person thinks and speaks in different ways. Because of this, I focus tutoring sessions on finding what processes work for YOU. I recommend different writing techniques/exercises based on what you believe needs the most improvement.
Do you find yourself staring at a blank page? I have ways to kick-start the process! Feel like your ideas are unorganized? I'll help you restructure your thoughts to get your message across.
A typical lesson will start with a fun warm-up to get you writing right away. After that, we can either focus on a prompt you bring, or I'll use my own materials that focus on essential aspects involved in writing.
