About Lisa
I am an experienced Geography teacher, examiner and senior school leader with over a decade of experience working with young people in leading independent schools, including King’s College School, Wimbledon. I have taught GCSE, A Level and IB Geography and have held senior pastoral leadership roles, most recently as Acting Director of Mental Health and Wellbeing. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of how confidence, motivation and wellbeing can have a significant impact on academic success.
I have always been passionate about Geography and enjoy helping students develop a genuine understanding of the world around them, alongside the skills and confidence they need to succeed academically. As an experienced Edexcel and AQA examiner, I also bring a detailed understanding of assessment and examination requirements.
Throughout my career, I have worked with students across a wide range of academic pathways, including supporting university applications and preparing students for highly competitive admissions, including Oxbridge and the US. I believe students achieve their best when they feel supported and encouraged, while also being appropriately challenged to reach their potential.
My approach combines high academic expectations with warmth, encouragement and personalised support. I aim to help every student become more confident, independent and resilient, while developing the knowledge and skills they need to achieve their academic goals.

I offer tailored Geography tuition for GCSE, A Level and IB students, drawing on more than a decade of teaching experience in leading independent schools. As an experienced Edexcel and AQA examiner, I help students develop a deep understanding of geographical concepts while mastering the exam techniques needed to achieve their highest potential.
My lessons are carefully adapted to the needs of each student, whether they are looking to build confidence, strengthen subject knowledge, develop essay writing skills, prepare for examinations or maximise their grades. Drawing on my experience as both a classroom teacher and examiner, I help students understand what examiners are looking for, avoid common pitfalls and approach assessments with greater confidence.
I am passionate about developing confidence alongside academic achievement. Lessons are supportive, engaging and appropriately challenging, encouraging students to think independently, ask questions and develop effective study habits that will benefit them beyond Geography. I bring a calm and encouraging approach to every lesson, helping students develop both self-belief and academic resilience.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are suitable for students of all abilities studying KS3, GCSE, A Level or IB Geography.
