Graduated from Oxford in 2016 with a degree in History, and start an MA in International Studies at SOAS in September 2017. Currently working part-time at London-based NGO. I am approachable, flexible and enthusiastic.
My teaching style is very conversational and relaxed, looking at slowly building confidence by explaining, showing examples, with contextual information added for depth of knowledge and giving the basis of the knowledge. Running through examples is a key part of my tutoring before moving on to discuss and query the question in detail.
My teaching method is to firstly assess where the student is struggling, and why that is the case. In addition to this, my method includes attempting to understand the teacher's approach to the subject, in order to avoid any confusion.
I have a passion for teaching and working with children. I had a very hard time in school struggling with ADD and dyscalculia while trying to maintain good grades, until in my sophomore year I was lucky enough to work with an amazing teacher who changed the way I worked and studied and made school much easier for me.
I am currently a Head of History at a secondary school and have a wealth of knowledge on how to help students gain their target grades and achieve more. I have a proven track record of helping my students to gain success and progress in GCSE History, A Level History & Key Stage 3.
I think lessons should be exciting and engaging and work hard to plan learning activities that will not only help students to make academic progress but also foster enthusiasm for learning. I pay close attention to the different learning styles of students and am well practiced in dynamically assessing and responding to their needs and interests.
I will always give 100% to all of my students, and am fully committed to giving them the best learning experience possible. I encourage a relaxed and friendly approach to tutoring and try to make the learning experience more holistic and productive. Most of my students are long-term which I believe is the best way to ensure that the highest grades are achieved and the most is learnt.
I am a student who always enjoyed conversational lessons so this is what I try to bring to my tutoring at all levels (GCSE, A level and Undergraduate). I want the lessons to be full of asking questions with a loose structure often aided by a powerpoint. I am also willing to teach online.
I personally teach with visual effects so that the student has an image in their mind which they can understand and remember quite easily. I prepare presentations and have the students do physical tasks to increase their understanding and knowledge.
I believe that I am a relatively nice and understanding person, who is good with the young, (mostly because I am still one of them) I can adjust to individual learning preferences and open conversations and debates about both History and Geography - as both interest me.
I am an A Level student in North London studying maths, geography and french. As I completed my GCSEs recently I have an in depth knowledge on the exam boards and what they are looking for. In my lessons I would go through exam questions and test questions, as I believe that this is the best way to learn.
Coming to study in London was the best decision I have ever made because it enabled me to discover parts of myself that I did not know existed. I was by myself in a country that I have never been to before and this allowed me to explore my creativity. To study politics in a moment when history is being written is fascinating.
I am at the end of my first year at the university of Bristol, studying politics and international relations. I first came to love politics though studying it at AS level alongside with geography. Through this time, I found strategic ways to study the syllabus whilst making the content relevant to current events, of which I shared with my fellow class.
I'm a flexible and patient tutor who loves to learn and is keen to help, with an great interest into general knowledge and analysis of politics - Depending on what you need help on we will study/discuss we will go on a modified syllabus for general studies, or one of the three topics below.
I tend to alter my methods to suit the requirements of each individual, weather they are visual learners or verbal i will tweak my style to greatly enhance Learning.
I strive to keep my lessons very simple and clear. I make sure that the student is in control of the majority lesson structures. Initially, I will speak with the student to know more about the subject, but most importantly, outline the topics they are struggling on.
My approach for each pupil will be guided by their individual needs. Before beginning tutoring I would want to discuss learning and outcome goals, and also look over any feedback received at school, so I know where the pupil's strengths and weaknesses are. I love every subject I am signed up to tutor in, and I think a key 'method' of mine is simply to pass on that enthusiasm.
I can teach students doing their GCSE's or A-Levels. The three most effective ways to revise are by planning questions, focusing on writing style and understanding content. Our lessons will mostly focus on these elements. However, if there are other aspects that you would prefer to focus on then I can aid you with those too.
I am both organised and patient, and would be happy to help your child with any public exams, entrance exams or general schoolwork. Having recently left school, I have fresh experience of what it is like to be in the boots of your child, which allows me to give them insightful advice on their academic work.
My previous students have ranged from age 14-17, meaning I have experience teaching both GCSE and A-level. I have also mentored degree level politics students in adjusting well to university life. My lesson structure tends to feature a brief conversation with the student about the topic, to gain more insight into their existing knowledge and to know what we need to work on.
My teaching method is to listen to the problem at hand and take an approach that is best for the person I am teaching. It works differently for everybody so I do not have a set method. However, I will start off with the small issues and build on these until a wider understanding of the topic is attainable.
The most important thing during my tutorials will be to help the child stay focused and passionate about the subject, by using different methods of learning such as visual aids or interactive videos. I will also keep variety in my lessons and focus on aiding them to answer the questions themselves as opposed to spoon feeding them what is correct.
I am a type of student who loves to learn something in a way that is fun, either by a video or an actual field trip to that area. As I am aspiring to be a teacher at this site i would love to teach in a way that is exciting for both students and me. I am going to film my travels to some historic places around the world or would try to teach students in a very visual way.
I can give lessons to school students based on which topics they are struggling with most. For French students I can offer conversational classes and I can help practice for speaking and listening exams. I am able to provide mock tests for those who require it.
Hi iam your Geography Tutor , This is my subject because i love it most so if you have any problem related this subject don't be panic.Come to me i just solve it by giving some lectures and general examples.
I am a A-Level student who is currently taking Geography, Sociology and Psychology. I give lessons particularly to AS students. My lessons go through each topic in an overview and then doing quick questions at the end.
I love to learn. Teaching for me is a way of showing others that learning is essential and fun. I give lessons to under 16's. I make my lessons fun by including games and imaginative diagrams to help the material be absorbed.
I am sidra fateh Muhammad from Pakistan Rawalpindi .I have done my masters in Pakistan studies (history and geography ) .I can teach from grade 3 to 8 level .as a good teacher I always tried to make things easy and interesting .
Relatable: I believe the most important aspect of my teaching is that it is fun, engaging and relatable. This means that it is more easy to remain interested and eager to learn more. Approachable: I am a very easy person to talk to and have felt on so many occasions myself that I was unsure of certain things and needed help.
I base my classes on enjoying the subject and uncovering students' passions. Also keen to find new ways of teaching parts of Geopolitics rather than just reading and giving my knowledge.
