About Simon
I started learning the guitar from an early age through private guitar tutoring, and I love it dearly. I used to practice multiple times per day, and it has helped me to excel in my guitar playing and in school. It has instilled a high confidence in me, not just in the guitar but in all areas of my life. I have played in a couple of gigs while studying my Cert 3 and 4 in music performance, and have been playing in the worship ministry at my church for a while now. I love writing songs and educating myself through self-teaching resources online and musicians like myself. I have a knack for performing and songwriting. I also love playing in bands and gigging.

I am a passionate guitarist with over 10 years of experience playing acoustic, rhythm, and lead electric guitar. My musical background includes rock, blues, Pop, Soul/R&B, Latin American styles, and classical guitar.
I have completed a Certificate III and Certificate IV in Music Performance through TAFE NSW and have experience teaching guitar to students of different ages and skill levels.
My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals and focus on practical playing skills, including chords, strumming, rhythm, technique, scales, lead guitar, fingerstyle, improvisation, and basic music theory. Lessons are available in 30- or 60-minute formats and can be conducted privately or in small groups.
I teach children, teenagers, and adults from complete beginners to intermediate players. Whether you’re learning your first chords, developing your technique, or building confidence as a musician, I provide a supportive and enjoyable learning environment to help you achieve your goals.
