About Julie

I possess the qualifications as a mat & reformer Pilates instructor certified by Stott Pilates, specialising in catering to the needs of mature adults & women over 50’s, people with severe health conditions. Over the course of several years, I have been providing both group and personal training sessions. Additionally, I hold the esteemed rank of a 4th dan black belt Taekwondo & 1st Dan black belt Sword Martial art. By leveraging my extensive martial arts background and complementary expertise in acupressure, I aim to enhance the quality of my classes. Details

The fee is not refundable and if you need to cancel a lesson, minimum of 24 hour prior notice is required. Otherwise, 1 hour lesson will be charged at the full rate. Also, a lesson must be booked within 30 days after made payment unless agreed otherwise.

  • 1) What age did you start playing sport? Tell us about this time or moment in your life.

    I had been playing sports since I was 10 years but I was the weakest player in the group those days.
  • 2) What are your favourite sports; those that you practice at a high level, a simple hobby, and a sport that you'd still like to discover?

    My favorite sports are martial arts, Taekwondo, Keummooyeh ( sword martial art), archery, tai chi, qi gong, and I play badminton, squash, indoor climbing as a hobby but I am exploring more avenue to improve the quality of seniors’ life with gentle exercise such as qi gong and Tai Chi.
  • 3) What gives you the motivation and passion to pursue your sport?

    I became stronger both mentally and physically as a result of playing sports. Also, it made me improve my perseverance level while practising martial arts for 20 years.
  • 4) Do you have a sporting achievement that you're particularly proud of?

    I completed 4 marathons.
  • 5) How have your achievements and challenges made you a better sportsperson?

    Being a 4th Dan Taekwondo master and 1st Dan Keummooyeh ( Korean sword martial art ), holistic pilates instructor converted me into a more tolerant person and taught me how much sports and disciplines can improve one’s quality of life.
  • 6) If you had to go for a jog with a famous athlete, who would you choose? And what questions would you ask them?

    Mr Eliud Kipchoge, how the marathon changed his life overall ?
  • 7) How do you help people stay motivated?

    I provide my clients with a different kind of workout while they are relapsing so they don’t feel compelled to continue their usual routine. Also, I tell them how I had to challenge myself to get here from being the weakest child.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof in sports?

    I have a good understanding on diversity of body types, different ability depends on age and gender, and know how to encourage people to exercise for the best possible results while being injury free.
