About Daichi
Hi, I’m Daichi. I am an English tutor based in Christchurch, New Zealand, with over 10 years of teaching experience in Japan. I have mainly supported students preparing for university entrance exams, nursing school, healthcare-related programs, TOEIC, and IELTS.
I enjoy helping Japanese speakers understand English clearly and logically, especially when they feel unsure about grammar, reading, vocabulary, or exam preparation. My goal is to make English feel less confusing and more manageable through clear explanations, step-by-step practice, and realistic study plans.
I am especially interested in supporting students, working holiday visa holders, and residents in New Zealand who need English for study, work, daily life, or future visa and career goals.

My lessons are designed mainly for Japanese speakers who want to improve their English for IELTS, TOEIC, study, work, or daily life in New Zealand. I usually teach 60-minute lessons online.
I focus on clear explanations, practical study plans, and step-by-step improvement. For IELTS, I can help with reading strategies, grammar, vocabulary building, writing structure, and speaking preparation. When needed, I explain difficult points in Japanese, so students can understand not only “what the answer is,” but also “why it is correct.”
I have over 10 years of experience teaching English, especially for entrance exams, academic reading, grammar, and exam preparation. My lessons are suitable for motivated beginners, intermediate learners, and students who feel unsure about how to start preparing for IELTS or TOEIC.
