About Wenye
My counselling-skill training helps me support students struggling with exam-related anxiety. I understand how stress affects exam performance, so I build a low-pressure, encouraging environment alongside rigorous exam preparation.
I offer one-to-one tuition both face-to-face in central Edinburgh and online. Every student gets a personalised learning plan based on their current band score and target goals.

My lessons follow a clear input-practice-output structure. I use scaffolding techniques and CCQs (concept-checking questions) to identify real gaps in understanding, moving students step-by-step from guided practice towards independent exam-style performance.
I cover all four modules: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, with practical exam strategies and targeted feedback for each learner’s weak points.
I can also give you guides for your application and CV and Essays.
