With science and maths, there are two types of learning that have to take place. A student, who wishes to be successful, has to learn a number of basic and fundamental concepts, and how to think critically in order to apply them. Concepts are best learned by repetition and thinking is best learned by practice, so I like to design lessons where I use my experience in education to create fun and engaging activities to learn concepts. Then, I can utilize my knowledge of the subject to create interesting problems to give students the chance to practice thinking critically and scientifically.
I have been working in education as a teacher or a private tutor since 2016 and I have helped many students of all abilities improve their understanding of maths and physics. I have a particularly strong knowledge of subject areas having just completed a masters in theoretical physics. It is always a great satisfaction to see students leave a lesson having improved their knowledge of what I am trying to teach them and I hope to be able to bring that to more students through this service.
