About Kirstie
After matriculating I studied Fine Art for three years, learning disciplines such as painting and sculpture. Thereafter I started teaching art in schools. I have taught classes of 40 and more, and tutored online. I have a 100% pass rate

I am very patient as a teacher. My teaching methodology is to allow my students to be active in the classroom and engage with the artwork by 'breaking it apart', analyzing it (using the formal elements) and then putting it back together, with open discussions with either each other or one- on- one with the teacher. If a student is able to freely talk about an image, and understand it on a personal level then that is the first step in learning the subject.
