About Catherine

I am a professional dance instructor, choreographer, and lifelong advocate for the art of movement, with over 22 years of teaching experience in Ballroom, Latin, Salsa, and Scottish Highland Dance.

My passion for dance began at a young age and has grown into a rewarding career dedicated to helping students discover confidence, discipline, creativity, and joy through movement.

Throughout my career, I have earned professional teaching credentials through respected dance organizations, including the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) and Dance Vision. My experience includes teaching recreational dancers, competitive students, children, adults, and individuals preparing for special occasions.

As an instructor, I believe every student deserves a positive, encouraging learning environment where they feel comfortable exploring their abilities and developing at their own pace. My approach emphasizes strong technique, musicality, personal growth, and meaningful human connection.

I am also an author and passionate educator who believes the lessons we learn through dance extend far beyond the dance floor.

Whether you’re taking your very first steps or refining years of experience, I look forward to helping you discover what dance can bring to your life.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to inspire confidence, develop strong technique, and encourage a lifelong appreciation for dance. With over 22 years of teaching experience, I offer personalized instruction in Ballroom, Latin, Salsa, and Scottish Highland Dance for students of all ages and skill levels.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, preparing for a special event, developing competitive skills, or simply dancing for enjoyment, each lesson is tailored to your individual goals and learning style.

My teaching approach combines proper technique, musicality, movement awareness, and positive encouragement in a welcoming, supportive environment. I believe dance is more than learning steps—it is an opportunity to build confidence, express yourself, and connect with others.

Private lessons are available online and in person, with flexible instruction designed to help every student progress at their own pace.
