About Sue
I am a passionate and dedicated Secondary Science Teacher with extensive experience teaching Stage 4 and 5 Science, as well as Stage 6 Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, and Investigation Science. As a current NESA-accredited teacher and HSC Marker, I have a strong understanding of syllabus requirements, assessment standards, and effective examination techniques.
I believe every student can succeed when provided with the right support, encouragement, and learning strategies. My tutoring sessions are tailored to each student's individual needs, helping them build confidence, deepen their understanding of scientific concepts, and achieve their academic goals. Whether students need assistance catching up on content, improving assessment results, preparing for exams, or striving for top HSC marks, I create a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes both achievement and independence.
I am committed to helping students not only succeed academically but also develop confidence, resilience, and a genuine enjoyment of learning Science.

As a qualified Secondary Science Teacher and experienced HSC Marker, I provide personalised tutoring for Stage 4 and 5 Science, and Stage 6 Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, and Investigation Science. My lessons focus on building confidence, deepening understanding, and improving assessment and examination performance. I tailor each lesson to the student's individual learning needs, using explicit instruction, worked examples, exam-style questions, revision strategies, and targeted feedback. As an HSC Marker, I provide valuable insight into NESA assessment standards and examination techniques. Lessons are typically 60 minutes (90 minutes available for senior students), offered online or face-to-face, and are suitable for students in Years 7-12 seeking support, extension, or HSC preparation.
