About Joy
As a dedicated STEM educator with diverse teaching experience, I bring both professionalism and a passion for helping students succeed. I specialize in breaking down complex topics and applying research-backed study techniques like active recall and spaced repetition to make learning more effective. In addition to teaching, I worked at NJCU’s Health and Wellness Center, where I communicated with hundreds of students and staff. This experience strengthened my communication and customer service skills, allowing me to create a welcoming and supportive learning environment for every student I work with. Outside of teaching, I enjoy learning new languages and organizing my goals through to-do lists—two habits that reflect my love for lifelong learning and structure. I’m here to help you feel confident, capable, and motivated in your STEM journey.
