About Ria
Ria Pavia’s career in the entertainment industry launched with performing gymnastics in a tampon commercial in the ‘80s. This stint propelled her into acting in TV commercials, guest spots, and film roles. Next, Ria donned her scribe hat, working as a staff writer on Ask Harriet (starring Ed Asner) and Pauly (starring Pauly Shore) for FOX. Additionally, she has scripted television pilots, features, plays, and content for various digital platforms. She served as a “punch up” writer on many feature films. Ms. Pavia’s career then segued into directing for the stage, where she has helmed more than 20 plays and musicals. Ria has been dubbed The Cast Whisperer for the many hit TV shows for which she currently serves as on-set acting coach.
I am passionate about working one-on-one with actors of all ages; but don't often have the luxury of time, as I do during the current climate due to the pandemic. The TV shows I work on have been postponed, so I'm grateful to be able devote the 12 hours a day I'm typically on set to connect with actors via Zoom or other platforms. I truly enjoy working ALL levels from beginners to seasoned professionals, from basic acting technique curriculcum to self-tape preparation - and beyond!
