About Jami
Hi! I’m Jami Ornellas, founder and instructor at Nola Meisner Playhouse. I have been teaching piano, singing and acting for 20 years. I studied opera for four years with Susan Gundunas. I studied acting for four years with Christy English. I teach voice lessons and acting classes with the Meisner technique which is about being truthful in imaginary circumstances. I focus on the breath because it keeps the singer present and out of their head. I focus on emotional connection to the music and connection with the audience.
