About Alexandra
Hello!
My name is Alexandra Cockrell. I attended the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where I received my BFA in Acting and am an alumna of Interlochen Arts Academy (2 years) and Interlochen Arts Camp (5 summers). I have acted on various stages around the world including London, Taiwan and St. Petersburg, Russia. I've had extensive training in Shakespeare, monologue and text analysis and scene study.
Upon graduating from college, I was asked to teach acting technique classes at Interlochen Arts Camp, making me the youngest teacher to date on their summer acting faculty. I also have experience assistant teaching at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland on their numerous summer short course intensives.
Teaching students are one of the most rewarding things for me! Nothing makes me more excited and passionate than watching someone make a connection with something I've said or demonstrated and their own hard work. Each student is different and finding a common language and rapport is something I highly value when starting to work with a new client. Acting should be fun and exciting and hard work and a new adventure every time we delve into a play or text, and I intend to bring that joy to every student of mine!
