About Tori
I started acting in the third grade and ever since then I have been a devoted and passionate actor and coach. What makes my coaching special is a combination of practical acting experience (off-broadway and film/tv) as well as extensive training, which instilled a love of the craft behind acting.
I earned my B.F.A. acting at NYU Tisch and was promptly hired back to TA the advanced acting class. I assisted the Advanced Scene Study at Playwrights Horizons Theatre School for two years, where I also coached students privately on monologues and audition prep. Some of my coaches have included Bob Krakower and Lesly Kahn. I have extensive training in theatre, on-camera, audition technique, improv, and dance/movement.
I am also a 200hr certified Yoga Instructor. I believe that the body is the actor's instrument and love to incorporate relaxation exercises into my coaching.
I absolutly love acting, and especially the preperation that leads up to the moment that action is called. I encourage detailed preperation so that the imagination can flow freely. I believe acting should be playful, creative, and personal.
I help students prepare monologues, film/tv sides, auditions and self-tapes, as well as college and conservatory application and audition preparation. I have my own set-up at home but am also happy to work via zoom or travel to you!

With any student or script, I like to start with the structure of the script (analysis and provided information) then move to the imagination (free-association) and then bring all of that information into the body (moving + feeling the part). I love developing characters and believe each character is partly what is written and partly what you uniquely bring to the role. I use games and exercises to help a student find the character.
I work with students of all ages.
I help students (16-18) with college audition prep and applications.
I help adults (18+) self-tape and prep auditions.
I also have extensive experience working with children (ages 5-15) with anything from line memorization, auditions, or theatre games + training.

Tori's instincts are always spot on. She provokes honest work and is inspirational through her commitment to her craft. If you want to book, coach with Tori, pure and simple!
I've directed Tori in several productions and love working with her. She is always prepared, smart, and kind. I know when I work with Tori that the final product will be great. Tori has a natural instinct to help others; she would be a great asset to anyone's audition process.
