About Amelie
As a high school student, I understand the power a good teacher can have on the quality of education. I have always had a passion and a niche for mathematics, and I want to pass on that same understanding and love of learning to those I teach. I understand how the pandemic has made learning even more difficult, so while I don't have any formal tutoring experience, I can reach out to fellow students who are going through the same thing. I'm currently a high school sophomore enrolled in AP Statistics and an honors pre-calculus class. Thank you for your time and consideration :)
I've always been a natural teacher. I've had teachers of my own who told me I should look into it for a career, and It's always been something i'm passionate about. I have no formal tutoring experience, but I've done some tutoring for my math classes here and there, and I have so much knowledge to offer.
Education changes with time, and as a current high school student, I'm able to gain insight as to the current schooling situation and environment in this unique period of time. That connection to a student can make all the difference. As far as classes go according to the state of North Carolina, I have currently completed NC Math 1, NC Math 2 honors (top of my class), NC math 3 honors, and am currently enrolled in Pre-calculus honors and AP Statistics.

I find that creating a connection with someone can make tutoring much more rfun, relaxed, and overall a more effective learning environment. I like to get a general understanding of the student's knowledge on different subjects, and then dig deeper as we work more on specific topics and principles that each genre of math entails
