Teaching Approach & Methodology
My approach to tutoring is focused on building both understanding and confidence, not just completing work. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, learning style, and school requirements, ensuring they feel supported while also being challenged.
For English, I focus on developing reading comprehension, writing structure, and analytical skills. I guide students through techniques such as TEEL paragraph writing, vocabulary development, and breaking down texts in a clear and simple way.
For Math, I focus on step by step understanding, making sure students fully grasp concepts before moving on. I use worked examples, guided practice, and independent questions to build confidence and accuracy.
I also incorporate:
Practice questions and mini assessments
Homework support and revision
Exam and SAC preparation (for older students)
Study techniques to improve independent learning
Lesson Structure
Lessons are typically 1 hour long, but can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs.
A standard lesson usually includes:

Qualifications & Experience
I am currently studying a Bachelor of Arts / Master of Secondary Education, which means I have both subject knowledge and training in how to teach effectively.
I have experience tutoring multiple students across different year levels, and I am familiar with the Victorian Curriculum and school expectations. I focus on creating a supportive and structured environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving at their own pace.
