About Randy
I am currently a Biology major studying Ecology and Evolutionary theory sciences. I am a rising senior at Northern Arizona University, looking to go to graduate school for teaching high school and college-level biology. I will work effortlessly to teach a wide array of different biology concepts, as well as some other high school subjects including algebra 1 and 2 and chemistry.
I deeply enjoy the field of ecology and biology as a whole, as an undecided student, there was no other subject that intrigued me as much as the natural sciences. I am also fond of teaching, working as a youth group bible study mentor I learned many different techniques for teaching. One of the biggest take-aways from this position was the willingness to learn when younger students had a confident and knowledgeable mentor.
My education level is that of a Junior or Senior studying biology in a university. I have tutored elementary students using my teaching methods, but I am looking forward to teaching more challenging highschool level classes.

my typical process when working with a student is to first get a hold of the concept that they are struggling with. Next, I will start the teaching process by using concepts that I have learned in my college courses, while also implementing my own teaching strategies. Lastly, I will create a test with all of the concepts that were taught to ensure a firm understanding of the topic.
It is very important to be ready to learn and take notes for the information being taught.
A recent event that I am fond of is becoming the secretary of my fraternity. I have put in a lot of work, and taking on this leadership role has rounded me out greatly. I hold in great confidence that anything can be taught with a confident leader, and someone to be able to look up to as a mentor.

My set price is $15 an hour, in a two-hour session most everything can be taught thoroughly and perfect for the student to be able to go to class prepared to the tee.
