About Travis
I currently teach biology and anatomy/physiology, and am a certified teacher in Florida. I have taught middle school students in the first 5 years of my education career, and am comfortable with their curriculum for science.
I started as a sub, and the school I was with requested that I stay. Since I had a biology degree from USF they gave my the information I needed to become a certified teacher, and helped me get established.
I have a Bachelors degree in Biology and I am a certified biology k6-12 teacher in the state of Florida, and have taught all grade levels from 6-12 grade students.
I am also certified ESE.

I try to get a feel of their learning style and sense of learning. By doing this I can help get them to see the material in a way that might make more sense to them, or identify why they may be having difficulty with the material
I have taught everything from 6th graders to seniors, and worked with countless students who have IEP and 504s.
Look for someone that you can get along with. You dont want to spend time doing something difficult if they are someone you dont really like. Tutoring is done best when its fun, and engaging.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Try to have an idea of what specifically you are having issues with. We cant help you as well if you cant identify where you're getting stuck. It takes time away from you getting the most help as possible if a teacher has to trouble shoot to figure out the areas that you're weaker in.

Details
$45 per hour is base rate for 1 on 1. I am a certified teacher and also certified ESE. If there are more than one student, a second agreement can be reached based off how many are present.
