About Raquel
Hey! My name is Raquel, I am an Environmental Studies/Biology major at Whitman College and I've been tutoring biology for 3 years! I worked as a tutor for the Virginia Military Institute for 2 years as well as one year as an officer in the National Science Honor Society. I love everything bio, science and math! I've been an honors student and teachers assistant since I began school, I'll make it easy, I promise!
I am not just a bio tutor, I am a student, too, so to share that and help others in science is really special to me! I am an environmental activist and have worked for national organizations in the past and I had many interactions with people and contributors on the topics of and surrounding biology of the planet; in my opinion, biology majors are exceptional in that they truly care about the work of the field as much as they do about what they have to study. If you are looking to learn more about the planet through bio, getting through a class, or trying to ace a test, I'm your girl!
I a tutored at the Virginia Military Institute for 2 years and for the National Science Honor Society for 1 year. And I am a STEM major!!

I like to gauge where the student is, what the expectations and class schedule of the teacher looks like before we create a learning plan. I like to teach study habits as well to go along with my lessons so that the student has the ability to do it without me, too!

Details
I don't like to charge a ton! I love doing this so being paid for it is bonus. We can walk about a price but I usually charge between 25-40 a session depending on travel and things :)
