About Angela
I am passionate about helping others learn and understand science! Science was not as easy subject for me. I had to work hard to learn and develop a variety of approaches to the material. I find it helpful to make connections between the material and the real world to foster understanding and hopefully achieve the 'ah ha!' moment. I graduated from Truman State University with my bachelors of science in biology. During my time at college, I volunteered as a biology tutor helping other students from a variety of backgrounds and interests in other subject areas. I understand and appreciate that no one person learns the same, so hopefully I can use my different learning approaches to make the material and learning process more enjoyable!
I really enjoy helping others learn and become more successful and confident in their classes. I love tutoring because it gives me a chance to bring my knowledge and up-beat personality to someone who is having a difficult time with a certain subject area. Being a tutor allows me to help my student achieve their goal and share the joy that comes from their improvement!
