About Michael
I can tutor chemistry, biology, and mathematics at a high level. I have taken AP Chemistry and AP Biology and scored a 5 on both exams in 2020. I am very flexible with charging rates! I am less focused about the money and more excited to be able to teach other people, so please feel free to contact me with any charging preferences and we can work it out.
I enjoy helping other people be able to accomplish their goals. As a student, I understand how it feels to learn new concepts at a fast pace. I want to be able to support other students in their learning process and help them discover their passions and interests.
I first began as a teaching assistant for my high school teacher's chemistry class. I've also been a tutor at my schools math resource center, and finally expanded to tutoring multiple students one on one virtually through Zoom.
I am a freshman at the University of Southern California studying biology. My primary subjects that I teach are Biology, Chemistry, and Math (Algebra 1, Caculus, Pre-Algebra, Trigonometry). I have taken AP Chem, AP Biology, AP Calculus BC and scored a 5 on all three exams, as well as scored 800 on both the Math and Chemistry SAT Subject Tests. I have tutored high school students in biology and math and improved their grades significantly.

I like to engage with student by going over homework questions or mistakes on test/quizzes that the student has taken. This helps me identify the main problems and work with the student to set up a plan to fix their mistakes and score better on their exams/projects and do better in their classes.
I've primarily worked with high school students.
Ensure that you are truly understanding the concepts rather than learning the material purely through memorization. Slow down, analyze your mistakes, change your system to fix your mistakes and naturally you will improve in the subject you are learning.
