About Ryan
I have worked as a professional developer for over 20 years. In that time I have mentored several people that are now working in full development careers. I am experienced in teaching development, design and project management at all levels from beginner to expert.
My regularly used skills include C++, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET MVC & Web Forms, Web API, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL, Azure, Office / Office365, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Prototyping, Project Management and Quality Assurance among many others.
I hold a BBA in Computer Information System from Davenport University and an Masters in Computer Engineering from Lawrence Technological University.
I have also worked in technology for over 20 years. My experience includes desktop applications, web applications, mobile applications and design. During this time I have worked as a developer, project manager, lead and manager. The majority of this time I mentored many developers at different levels of experience from beginner to expert.

The general process that I follow is to speak with the student and determine first what they need and want to learn. I then will determine how close the student is to this goal.
At this point I will put together an outline for a lesson plan that includes the students goals and any additional skills that the student may not realize they need to accomplish their goals.
I will then discuss this plan with my student for both approval and to ensure the student understands what we will be learning and why.
