About Anne
Chef Anne is a Le Cordon Bleu graduate with 30 years of experience specializing in French, Italian, Afghan, and other International Cuisines.

Food is magnetic! By that, I mean that it has this incredible way of bringing people together in a common cause: Sharing each other's techniques and Cuisines from countries all over the World. Teaching Students how to cook is a wonderful experience and I love teaching all ages and all levels. It's fun and informative and we all learn from each other.

About the lesson

First of all, I get to know my student through an initial phone call where I interview them about what they would like to learn in particular, their technique and culinary level and if they have any allergies or dietary restrictions. This, allows me to propose a lesson plan for that particular student.
If they want a group Lesson, then I propose certain Lesson Plans per their interests. Group Lessons are no more than 4 Students at a time.
Both, Private Lessons and Group Lessons last 5 hours. The first hour is a lesson on how to organize your kitchen efficiently, how to budget, Menu planning for the week, how to shop within a budget, how to shop seasonally and how to organize your refrigerator and pantry.
Next, we proceed to the Kichen and have a Lesson on Fresh Herbs and Spices and how to use them. Vegetables and the various ways of cooking them in order to keep all the nutrients. I always try to give as much information possible and encourage questions.
The second part of the Lesson is the Practical which means that I teach the Student(s) Mise en Place, how to Prep, methods of cooking, etc...
