About Diya
During my younger years as a growing artist, I was trained to be brave when creating art. I believe that this is something that relates to my work because each piece that I have created is about trying something new and getting out of my comfort zone. I feel like the more I push myself and experiment in art, the more diverse and unique my art becomes. I also encourage my students to be brave because I think that’s what pushes the best artistic outcome out of them. It shows their full capabilities and helps them discover who they truly are as artists.

When working with a new student, I try to make the process transparent, collaborative, and communicative, as that is key to maintaining a successful program. Then I make a plan that meets both my expectations and the students, allowing freedom but also growth for the student. During the process of creating, I try to communicate as often and openly as possible to make sure they feel supported and confident while working.
