About Julianna
We teach modern American English!
I was traveling abroad and decided I needed an income while traveling. I found a company in Guatemala where I was living at the time, and decided to give it a go! It was through this company that I realized I loved teaching and I would be doing it long term.
I have an associates degree in arts and sciences and focused heavily on creative writing and literature. I have taught english in Guatemala with students of many different age groups. I was given a three week course through the company I worked for learning the best way to teach English based on a students learning style.

Asses their level of the topic we are focusing on usually through exsersises I put together. I like to figure out the students "learning style".
I have worked with many ages. I started with children from age 3-7, and then began giving tutors to students ranging from the age of 10-21 years old.
Subjects for classs have ranged from beginning English, to helping college students with their English essays.
When looking for a teacher, make sure you guys communicate well! This way you are comfortable asking questions and classes can be fun!
Using art to teach one of my students.
I had one of my younger students draw me a picture and tell me the story behind her drawing in English. She has trouble focusing sometimes, and it was one of the first times I saw her get excited about learning English. I think we will be using this method a lot more in the future.
