About Katharine
I have one year of experience tutoring children at St. Angela's in Chicago, IL from 1st grade-6th grade in a variety of subjects. I helped them complete their homework, taught them new information about their course subjects, and watched over entire classrooms of children during their after school program. Additionally, I have a wide range of childcare experience from babysitting to improv coaching. I am passionate about inspiring their creativity and curiosity within their education, and hope to one day work professionally within the childcare field!
I am still in college and expect to graduate this summer, and hope to be a teacher for young children when I am older. I plan to go to graduate school to study childhood development and education, with the hope to teach children theater, English, writing, and inspire their creativity.
I tutored children at St. Angela's in Chicago, IL from first grade to sixth grade in a wide variety of subjects after school. What I loved most about tutoring was how excited and engaged children became once you engaged them with the topic. I felt like I started to learn just as much from them as they were learning from me. I believe it's important to establish a strong connection with children through education and curiosity.
