About Jordan
I am a tactile learner, so I will be very hands-on throughout the student’s learning process. Because I am also a student, I will be able to relate to my student’s academic concerns and can share the lessons I have learned through my experiences. As a high school graduate and current Journalism student, I am also learning!
I absolutely love the English language, and I wish to share that same passion with others while helping students to succeed! I am an incredibly strong believer that, since they are our future leaders, you get generations must learn to make success for themselves and help others around them, so I make it a point to practice what I preach. That is why I have made the decision to start tutoring.
I am just now starting my “official” tutoring journey. As a student, I have always been active in aiding my peers with proof-reading and unpaid tutoring, but as a college student, I am looking for something more concrete monetarily.
I graduated high school ranked 16 out of a class of 250, tested out of my college literature and composition class, was enrolled in all AP English classes throughout high school, and am maintaining a 4.0 in college! I have also been published in my hometown newspaper with both opinion editorials and feature articles.

Communication is the most valuable learning tool, so getting to know students first and foremost is KEY. After finding out how he/she/they prefer(s) to learn, whether that be visual, tactile or verbal, tutoring can begin!
I have worked with students who have been in English credit retrieval all the way up to AP high school seniors.
Honestly, find a tutor who LOVES the subject you need help in. If someone truly has a passion for the subject, then he/she will provide a memorable and effective learning experience!
Recently, while on an adventure to find a pumpkin patch, I got lost due to a faulty GPS and ended up in a beautiful area that I had never been in before. Although it was unplanned and somewhat frustrating at first, it was such a calming experience to just drive through a new town with beautiful rural landscapes!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
“Is this question relevant to the subject?”, “How will this question and the following response benefit my academic success?”, “Is this something my teacher/tutor can ACTUALLY provide a sound answer to?” Most of the time, I have a metaphorical "open door" policy. If a student is struggling with something other than school work, I am willing to listen and give advice, but my main job is to help students learn.
