About Mika
I am a student at The University of Southern California, with extensive experience in writing. I can tutor English in all realms, specifically enjoying creative and professional pieces.
I would love to work with younger students, but also can help AP English students succeed. I can tutor remotely or in person.
I love to write creatively (currently studying to become a song writer!), so I can easily assist any student who needs help brainstorming outlines.
At my private preparatory school, I was an AP English student for three years, getting a 4+ on each AP test. Now, at USC, I am beyond my sophomore ranking in writing.
I am highly accustomed to meetings, whether they be virtual or in-person, due to my years of internships in the music industry.

With a new student, I ask them to explain what they know they are successful at, and share with me what they could improve on.
Then, I access the rubric of the assignment, and we go from there! Every tutoring session is unique and customized to the student.
I have worked with high school juniors, middle school kids, and elementary school children.
I miss going to festivals and concerts, and I am looking forward to when this pandemic is over. I am a music industry major at USC Thornton School of Music, studying to become an artist manager.

Details
My starting fee is $45 an hour, please contact me for negotiations. If your child is needing help in early grade school, the price may go down, and if your child is an AP student, it may go up.
Every student is a unique case and fee, as I aim to curate specific help.
