About Melissa
I go beyond tutoring and help you manage your student's online education. Services can be in person or online.
I've been teaching middle and high school English in person and online for the past 8 years. I've loved the time I've spent in the classroom with my students and am excited to now offer one-on-one tutoring and education management for students of all agaes.
After spending about six years in marketing and advertising I wanted a change. I wanted to do something that would directly impact society for the better. I have always been a strong writter so persuing a graduate degree in education seemed like a way to still use my writing skills while changing educational outcomes for students.
I have a master's degreee in Education and a bachelor's degree in public relations. I am also trained to teach AP English Language and AP English Literature. I haven't always been a teacher and I think that is why I have so much success reaching students and inpacting outcomes. I understand how link school to the world around us.
As more and more families have turned to online education it is clear that managing student learning is almost a full time job. In addition to tutoring, I offer education management services catered directly to your specific needs.

Each relationship and session I have with a student is unique to their needs. I ask families to fill out a brief survey and then meet with them to discuss their needs in more detail. Each session is built for the client's specific needs.
I've worked with students from all walks of life. From the most affluent communities around the world to the most underfunded public schools in the United States, I've experienced it all.
