About Daria
I am a recent graduate from the #1 undergraduate writing program in the nation at Johns Hopkins Universtiry, the #10 university in the nation. I am passionate about what I do but also passionate about sharing knowledge. I believe kindness and patience are the keys to life, and truly enjoy helping others in whatver facet I can.

I tutored for three years in high school. First, simply tutoring friends for science and math and then as a part of the National Honor Society (which I became president of my senior year), branching out to English and Spanish. In college I did a lot of proofreading and paper editing for my peers.
I also was a teaching assistant for a 5th grade Sunday school classroom for three years. There I worked with over 20 students each week.

I listen to and get to know the student first and foremost. I assess the situation not only from an academic standpoint but I also need to know how the student learns best. All people learn differently, so no two tutoring jobs are the same, so I do my best to change my style based on their needs while still keeping my same patience and persistence.

My sister graduated from the University of Miami with her Master's in Music and seeing her walk across the stage to recieve her diploma, not only did I feel like I could burst with pride, but I have never seen her so happy in her life.
